Time for just the two of you
Whether you're hunting for a honeymoon hotspot or a tranquil
child-free haven, a cruise could be your answer. Some ships have
the capacity to hold over 3,000 guests (which doesn't sound one bit
tranquil), but rest assured each ship is designed in such a way
that you will find a patch of personal space to call
your own whether it's in your luxurious room, in the library or in
the bar. What's more almost every ship boasts a relaxing spa where
you can escape everything with a revitalising treatment.
Whilst many of the premium cruise lines such as Regent Seven
Seas, Crystal Cruises, Silverseas and Celebrity Cruises aren't
explicitly child-free, they don't have the facilities or kids'
clubs to entertain younger passengers and their strict policies
ensure all under 18s are accompanied by an adult. In short, you'll
find very few, if any, children on board these premium ships so
they make the ideal adult escape.
However, there is one cruise line that guarantees child-free
cruising and that's P&O Cruises. Three of their eight ships are
strictly adult-only. Relaxed, grown up and quietly sophisticated,
Adonia (launching in 2011), Arcadia and Artemis are stylish ships
offering all P&O Cruises' signature features, including
Michelin-starred menus, the Oasis Spa and relaxed bars. Whether
it's their smaller size or their child-free nature, these ships
have a wonderful air of romance and indulgent pleasure about them,
so go on, embrace it!
